I’m Teresa Maiorano, your Registered Dietitian (RD) and Fertility Nutritionist, specializing in evidence-based strategies to help you conceive. Through my expertise and personalized guidance, I make this journey empowering, supportive, and rewarding.

As a person with POI (Primary Ovarian Insufficiency) and reaching menopause in my thirties, my fertility journey was relatively short. With suspected very low AMH levels, both my children were conceived within a year.  To be specific, my 2nd child was born and and I quickly entered peri-menopause. From that, it is clear that I live and breath what I teach. So, I know anecdotally and systematically, the power of nutrition and lifestyle factors on the best fertility outcomes.

Though ongoing 1:1 support and consultations, I ensure your nutrition action plans align with your food identity. With every recommendation I make, you can trust it’s grounded in science and designed with your success in mind. 

My Expertise as a Fertility Nutritionist

I hold two degrees in food science and nutrition—one from the University of Guelph and another from Toronto Metropolitan University. These foundations, combined with my active memberships in Dietitian Success Center, ASRM, and Obesity Canada, ensure I’m always equipped with the latest research and strategies to support you.

But beyond my credentials, I strive to make every interaction meaningful, approachable, and focused on your unique needs.

A Personal Touch: Food and Family

It all began growing up in a lively Italian household where food was at the heart of everything we did.  This meant that parties, weekends, even weekday dinners was all about the food.  This is why and where my passion for cooking and also my belief that food should be both nourishing and joyful, came to be. As you may know, my guiding philosophy, “May there always be colors on your plate and joy at your table,” perfectly captures how I approach fertility nutrition—combining health with deliciousness.
