Ingredients

12 raw oysters

ā…› cup bread crumbs

1 tsp lemon juice

ā…› cup grated parmigiano reggiano

1 tsp fresh dill, chopped

1 tsp fresh parsley, chopped

Ā½ tsp sweet paprika

1/2 tsp pepper to taste

hot sauce (optional)

Directions

Preparation:

  1. Wash all herbs
  2. Finely dice the herbs
  3. Grate the Parmigiano cheese.
  4. Get your supplies:
    1. measuring cup 
    2. measuring teaspoon
    3. oven mitts
    4. aluminum foil or coarse salt
    5. 9×13″ baking dish
    6. A small mixing bowl

Get Cooking:

  1. Heat oven to 475F.  Use a baking dish 9x13inches and line with coarse salt or crinkled tin foil.  Arrange washed oysters on the pan, flat side up so the juices wonā€™t run out.  Place in the oven. 
  2. Get out a mixing bowl and add bread crumbs, lemon juice, Parmigiano, dill, parsley, sweet paprika, and pepper to the bowl. Mix well. 
  3. Once oysters open, remove from the oven and using an oven mitt, take a knife and remove the upper shell. 
  4. Fill the oyster with the bread crumb mixture. 
  5. Add back to oven until golden brown (about 5-7minutes)
  6. Top with hot sauce (if using) and enjoy!
